Can I return a Digital Camera Battery?

I bought a camera today from Best Buy. The camera was on sale because it was a display camera. It did not come with a battery so the sales rep picked up one for me to buy so I could use the camera. I didn't realize that he picked up the wrong battery that does not fit my camera. I have already opened the battery and charged it. Can I return it even though it is opened? The battery was not cheap. It cost me $50. Thanks.

how do i use window movie maker to split a video on my camera into parts?

i have a video on my digital camera that is 40 mins long and i am trying to split it into parts so i can upload it on youtube. but everytime i try to import the video, it says that it cant be imported. so does anyone know how to import videos from digital cameras onto window movie maker?

I think the format is not applicable. Try converting the video
into .avi or .mpg. You can convert it on any online converting site
but I will advice to follow the link below. In cutting your video, just select the part you want to cut then click on the button at the lower
right side of the appearing video of your work.

S.O.S..... Replacement parts for a camera!?

I am looking for what I think is called a "battery door lid" for "Canon EOS Elan II 35mm." It is the part that holds the batteries in the camera. Is there a website I can go to and order another? I would appreciate ANY help I can get regarding this! Thank you so much, and Happy Holidays!

Its an old camera and very unlikely Canon would sell parts. Youre looking for a needle in a huge haystack. If you really want the battery door youre going to have to keep searching.

Try Ebay and other auctions for an Elan II being sold for parts. Below is a link to a current Elan II on Ebay Buy It Now for $44. Seller has 100% positive feedback, has sold on Ebay for 10 years, offers a 7 day refund minus shipping, says the camera has been tested and works and the photos of the camera look great. Looks like it was hardly used at all. Absolutely no signs of abuse or damage anywhere.

If you like the Elan II and since you already have lenses for it you might want to go this route. Until you decide or get a door theres always duct tape.

Opt Zoom

whaT digital camera should i get??

I am limited on funds and cant spend more then 299.00. i am torn between two cameras the panasonic lumix that is 7.2 mp with 12x opt zoom. or canon power shot sx100 8 mp 10x op zoom.. Any one??

Both are good cameras. I suggest that you go down to your local camera store and physically try out both cameras.

Forget about the megapixels counts. 7 or 8 makes no difference - trust me.

Get a feel for how both cameras handle. Can you easily operate them? Are the button ok - not too big or too small. Can you operate the camera with relative ease? How's the grip? Can you easily hold it and steady it when taking pictures?

Try out the zoom. Can you live with the 10x instead of the 12x? Or do you really zoom to the maximum range that often?

Look at the pictures and compare them. Which produces the images that you like better - in terms of colour, contrast and saturation?

After that buy the one that you feel most comfortable with.

If is how is this possible?

Yes. You just need a fast shutter speed, enough light to allow a fast shutter speed, and someone to kick the table for you, roll of paper towels to clean up the mess and a full pot of coffee.

You probably wont get it on your first try. You may want to use water at first as it is cheaper and doesn't stain anything. And have plenty of paper towels handy to wipe up the spills.

I would start at 1/1000sec. with the camera in shutter priority, unless you know your camera and can set the aperture in manual. Use an empty cup until you and your assistant get the timing down. Adjust your shutter speed until you get your desired effect, motion stopped, slightly blurred, etc.

Once you have the camera setting where they need to be, fill the cup with liquid and take a few more test shots just to make sure.

Now make a full pot of coffee. Some for you to drink while you try to get the shot, some to use in the cup.

You may want to set the camera to continuous shoot mode as well. Gives you a better chance of getting the picture you want by taking several pictures of the action.

I am doing a project..so i was planning to invent a keychain with microchip camera with a remote activator ..so incase you loose your keys you can find it! has this keychain been invented already?
we can have like a video camera on the keychain...so if someone looses their key (and they have that video camera keychain on it) they can activate the video camera with the remote from wherever they are and it shows them the video of what it looks like around the keychain

No, people use clap sensors or whistles to find their keys. It is cheaper for companies to make, and it is probably easier to find. How do you find the keychain? What is the camera connected to?

Is there any way to repair my camera's screen?

My camera screen was working fine until yesterday. I turned it on and a black line appeared across the screen (Lcd). My camera is a canon sd870 is. [Not a perfect line, gets big on some parts, choppy, etc.]

You can contact Canon. Their flat fee to fix the lens for it is about $100 so, I would assume that it would cost more to fix the LCD for it. The camera has some flaw to it, including their lens and lcd.
