Digital SLR Camera Question… Nikon N60 Body?
I have a DSLR Camera (Fuji S1 / Nikon N60 Body) I am needing to know what the little lever that is located close to the bottom of the mount. I have a Nikon N60 Body and the lever is located near the area that reads “Nikon F-MOUNT” It appears to be broken. What does it do?
Nikon N60 is not a digital SLR. It’s a 35mm SLR.
There are two things near that place- The lens release button and the lever/ring to set the aperture. If any of these is broken then the camera needs to be repaired. The lens release button helps in unlocking the lens so that it can be detached from the body (for changing to another lens). The other ring/lever rotates with the aperture setting on your camera and provides information to the camera body about the aperture setting.
To the answerer who answered about DOF : This model does not have a depth of field preview button.

Which lens would be considered a wide angle lens for a camera that is single lens reflex?
28 mm, 50 mm, 80 mm, 100 mm, or 200 mm?
On a 35mm SLR camera, 28mm or wider (lower number) would be considered a wide angle. The same holds true for any full-frame DSLR. The majority of DSLR’s uses smaller sensors (DX-sized) and usually crop the usable image 1.5x or 1.6x. Thus, most current DSLR’s have 18mm zooms to cover the “wider” range, as an 18mm lens gives the effective view of a 27mm lens on that camera body.

You bet you can. Just make sure it is a ‘F’ mount compatible lens.
You won’t have AF or metering but who cares with 16 mm. The downside to using the D300 with the 16mm is the loss of view width because of the crop factor.

Will my old Canon EOS 500 lense work on the Digital EOS 400D camera?
I want to buy a Canon EOS 400 digital SLR camera and i heard that Canon lenses are reverse compatible. I have 2 lenses that fit my EOS 500 35mm film camera and just wanted to know if they would work on the digital camera. I would also like some advise that IF they did work would they work as well as the one that would come with the camera. Thanks
Nikon’s crop factor is 1.5x with some dSLRs- Canon’s is 1.6, so a lens on your film camera with an angle of view of 30mm will now be closer to 48mm and on a 200mm lens, it becomes closer to a 320mm lens. So the answer is yes they will work, but you will lose the wide angle capability of your lenses, but at the tele end, you gain.

Why Are Colored Contact Lens “Bad” (Not Recommended)?
A while ago, I spoke with my opthamologist about getting colored contacts, because I love the look of them. (I myself have very dark brown eyes.) However, she said that she is against colored contacts and does not recommend them – although I suppose that if I had pressed hard enough, she would have relented and prescribed me colored contacts.
My opthamologist isn’t the only professional against colored contacts. Another time, I spoke with a clerk at a counter selling colored contacts, and she said that she would never allow her children to wear colored contacts because (in her words) “they’re bad for you”. But she didn’t explain why.
Can someone tell me why colored contacts are “bad” for you? Why do medical professionals not recommend them? Or are the people I’ve spoken with just “exceptions”?
I think you received a minority opinion about colored contacts lenses. The lenses are not bad or good for your eyes simply because they have or do not have color. Some designs can affect your vision if they do not center well, but they do no harm to your eyes. Tinted lenses work well with light-colored eyes. Brown or dark-colored eyes do better with opaque colored lenses. My advice is to seek a professional with experience in contact lenses, and, by all means, have regular check-ups once you are successfully fit with your colored lenses.

Where can I buy the original Bill Dance sunglasses with real glass lens?
These are the sunglasses that you see him wearing in his adverts for lures, etc. I am not interested the new lightweight all plastic one as they are not nearly as good.
I would try bass pro shops. Try Cabelas or Gander Mountain also. Your best bet is to look on line. Even try ebay.
