All I want for Christmas is a Camera But what kind?

K so the question almost says it all
I want a touch screen camera and my parents have agreed to give me one but i need good reviews for the camera So i thought Y not ask u YAHOO ANSWERS
KK well help me decide which one of these 2 touch screens is the better camera
the Coolpix S60 (nikon)
or
Cyber-shot T700 Digital Camera ( sony )
Or if u know of any good TOUCHSCREEN CAMERAS tell me

They both seem to have sluggish responses to touching the screen, but the Nikon is way worse. The Nikon also takes worse pictures - not as sharp, not as clear. It's also slower than the SONY to respond, by a lot. The SONY seems to be easier to tap with the included stylus than your finger, but both can be tapped with your finger with little problem.

If you care about fingerprints all over the thing, or a delay from when you touch the button to when something happens, touch screen cameras are not for you. They seem to put form (looking pretty) over function (working really well). If this doesn't bother you, I would go with the SONY. I don't know about any other touchscreen cameras, but I would look on CNET and google for touchscreen cameras and then read their reviews.

what would be better to get for christmas?*a guinea pig & camera* -or- *an ipod touch*?

The guinea pig is optional with camera. The camera has to be touch screen. no ifs ands or buts! Oh yeah and the ipod touch seems SOOO much cooler but i only have a limited time to think * have to have answers by this wednesday * please help if you can think of which choice is better!
p.s. i want opinions and why you chose that answer please!!

Xsi Rebel - Great Choice For My First Dslr!

This is my first venture into buying a DSLR and I have a college budget so I made sure I was spending my money on the best camera possible. I had been reviewing DSLRs for months and months before finally deciding on the XSI, and I could not be happier with my decision! From the moment I took it out of the box I have been taking better pictures than I ever thought I could.

I have some photography experience from a black and white photography class my first semester, but I am still quite green when it comes to the finer points of photography. It didn't at all matter with this camera. Right out of the box it didn't take me long to figure out the controls and which buttons did what. I love that there was a dedicated ISO button, white balance button, metering options button, AND shooting mode button. The worst thing is when you have a great shot that wont last long (think kids, animals, nature) and you have to dig through menus to get what you want. This camera eliminates that worry.

The lens that came with this thing is also much better than I expected in a kit lens. The image quality looks amazing while doing both very close up shots and landscape. I am not an expert on lenses, but I used one of my fathers lenses that cost several hundred dollars and there REALLY was hardly any difference in picture quality. Especially for a kit lens, I was quite impressed.

One last thing I love, THE LCD screen! This thing is HUGE and has very good image quality. It is great for reviewing your shot, right up to the fine details. It really makes it easier to see if you got the shot you wanted before you take it all the way back to your computer and see you screwed it up. As for the live view, I wasn't real sure when I would use it, but I found out the other day. There was a nest of hornets low to the ground and I sure as heck wasn't sticking my face down there. I conveniently used the live view feature to get the camera close and compose the shot while keeping my body in position to run

Really the only thing that has annoyed me so far is how you have to smush your nose and face into the LCD when using the viewfinder. I am all the time having to wipe smudges off. But really, after having this camera for a week and all I have to complain about is smudges on the LCD? That really is hardly a complaint at all. I would recommend it for anyone from complete newbies, to people like me with a smattering of experience, to those that actually know what they're doing. This camera is amazing.

No simply because you go Target, Wilmar and you have problem you go right there to return it. If your getting into photography than go to camera shop. I buy on eBay and I have gotten screwed a couple of times By the way the camera is junk

Video camera to computer?

how do I hook up my video camera to computer for videos ?
Samsung SCL 810. i called samsung and they say that i had to get the drivers for it because all it had was the yellow and white plugs i have an hp multi media computer i look for the drivers and it didnt work called them again and they said they didnt have drivers for it.

i can tell the general procedure as not sure about ur model..

1. connect it to TV via red yellow wihte cable.
2. connect to computer using the USB port.
3. If its too old camcorder, you need to use the old style cables to have the video in computer using the free software which came with the Product or you need to buy an editing software.........costs around $70-$180

What is a digital camera that meets my wants/needs?

Here's what I want:
-At least 10 mpx
-Good optical zoom (at least 4x)
-Point and shoot
-Photo stabilization
-Fast(ish) shutter speed

The price I'd like to pay is around $100-$150, but I may go slightly more expensive if the camera is worth it.

Is this camera worth getting? I've heard that after a week or two of use is breaks in some way or another, but I've also heard that it is an amazing camera.

Also, if I do get it and it does break, will I be able to return it and get my money back? Thank you!

My personal opinion:
I would not want a touch screen because that is just begging for yet another thing to go wrong.
If it breaks inside of the warranty period, you should be ok...... provided they are convinced it wasn't due to user misuse/fault.

I just don't think it is worth bothering with.

Good Digital Camera to get Under $300-$350?

I had a Kodak Z1012 which just stopped working on me after about a week of usage. I have about $300 -$350 to spend and i was wondering if I can get a camera that takes good pictures and sort of looks like an SLR but not an SLR, i dont think im ready for an SLR just yet. If anyone can recommend a camera that is like my Z1012, 10 mpx...long zoom..and just looks like an SLR.
