can i still list photos on eBay with an old floppy disk style digital camera?

i think the old Sony disk was @640x800 pixels. does eBay still take photos from the floppy disk format?

eBay will take pretty much any kind of photo, because it doesn't matter HOW you took the pictures, all that matters is that you have a digital photo file (usually with the file extension .JPG or .JPEG). All you need to do is copy the photos from your floppy disk onto your computer, and then upload them to eBay.

Put your floppy disk in the disk drive of your computer, open My Computer, then A: (or whatever drive letter you have assigned to the floppy disk drive). Click on the folder/photos you want, then Cut or Copy the photos over to a folder on your computer. Then, go to eBay, and when it asks you for any photos, go to the location on your computer where you copied the photos, and you should be able to upload them.

The only way that this would change to more "modern" digital cameras today is that instead of copying pictures from a floppy disk they're copied from a memory card such as CompactFlash or Secure Digital cards.

Which SLR camera? for $ 200 stills and videos burn to cd's and U tube?

Okay I want a digital camera that does stills and video. I will need 4 minute videos that look clear and can be burned to Cd's using no more than 600 MB for 4 minutes. The SD cameras compress so whats the difference? its better to compress in the camera right? What camera should I get a SLR style? SD? I dont need a small one.

SLR cameras are the ones where you can change lenses. You won't get one for $200 and they don't take video (except the Nikon D90).

Basically what you want is pretty much any point-and-shoot digital camera. Try looking at the Canon Powershot SD1100. It's a great camera and it's in your price range. It uses SD memory cards. To get 4 minutes of video you'll need at least a 512mb card.

As far as compression goes: yes, most point-and-shoots compress the images. There are some that shoot in RAW mode (uncompressed) but they're out of your budget. I wouldn't worry too much about compression anyways as most people don't notice the difference.
