i need to buy a good digital zoom camera, nikon,minolta,canon?
ok guys here is my question, soon i will buying a good brand name camera, nikon,minolta,canon etc, but the poin here will be the lens not the body, i want a nice powerfull len that i can take photos from far away, for example outdoors, from about 300 fleet away, so this will be a almost paparazy camera that at least can take about 4,5 shots per second, all i can afford is about 1,000 or 1,300 for everything body and lens, please tell me a good idea what i need, and if possible model numbers or names style etc. i like the nikon D90 or simillar. thanks in advance. ps: please no link i will buy it here in a NYC store
thanks for the reply you guys have good post. i just learn that the Nikon d90 is good on video too, that keeps me on it about the lens is possible to buy something more powerful than this 18-135mm Lens, remember my budget is about 1,300 bucks. yes BH i know them well

Well, B&H is a very reliable NYC store. They have good deals, for a good camera & lens kit. The d200 is a semi-pro body (meaning dust sealed,) but the body is older, and probably on the way out. The d90 is NOT weather sealed (I custom-cut a clear plastic sandwich bag to put around the body, with an opening for the lens to get around that, it works & feels fine) and it is newer, and has a pretty decent video mode.
