How do I change the settings on an Olympus Stylus Tough 6000 camera?
The camera takes far too long to take the picture. Is there any way I can speed this up? Also the pictures look very grainy. Does anyone have any suggestions?
That's a P&S for you - they all have limitations, the two main ones being shutter lag and low light issues.
Every Olympus I have ever used (four of them) was even worse in the grain department than other cameras.
The shutterlag and the low light issues were my main reasons for moving up to DSLRs.
The only thing you can do for the light is to take photos only when the light is ideal, or somehow create a whole lot of light. Keep the ISO low - the higher it gets, the worse the grain.
For the shutterlag - use manual focus and anticipate the action so you're ready for it whilst allowing for the lag.
