Camera Lens
i have a kodak camera and when i turn it on the camera lens wont open?
Its not even a year old.i was working great but when i would turn it on there would be a noise and then the camera lens would come out!!!! but now it will make a noise and then a black screen!
Assuming you havent dropped it or abused it in any way the only thing you can really check yourself is the battery (batteries).
Even after you charge the battery it may not have enough capacity to operate the camera properly. The best way to test is with an ac adapter which you may not have and may not be available for your camera. All rechargeable batteries lose capacity after repeated recharges or if they are improperly recharged. Recharge them improperly and their life is decreased quickly.
You can try a brand new battery (batteries) or you can go out and get a new camera. Servicing this one would be cost prohibitive.
